Founded in 1882, Matson, Inc., a U.S. owned and operated transportation services company, provides a lifeline to the Pacific economies of Hawaii, Alaska, Guam, Micronesia and the South Pacific. Matson’s fleet of vessels includes containerships, combination container ships, and custom-designed barges.

Matson subsidiary Matson Logistics, Inc. (MLI), founded in 1987, extends Matson’s transportation network, offering intermodal service, highway brokerage, and supply chain services in North America. MLI’s 3rd-party logistics includes warehousing, distribution, consolidation, and international freight forwarding. Span Alaska, acquired in 2016, ships over 400 million pounds of freight annually.
