18 years ago, Specsavers launched in Australia and New Zealand with the aim to make eyecare accessible and affordable for every Australian and New Zealander. We now have more than 400 stores across both countries, with over 9,000 team members and partners working to reduce the incidence of preventable vision loss and blindness through improved prevention, early detection and co-management of eye and hearing health.

We are absolutely thrilled to once again be recognised as a Great Place to Work in New Zealand. Our people – our Store Partners and team members in store and support offices, are the heartbeat of our organisation, and this achievement is a reflection of their dedication and passion for what they do.
Specsavers Managing Director, Paul Bott
We are proud of the diverse and inclusive culture that we have nurtured together, where every individual is respected, valued, and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work. Every single person at Specsavers has played a part in creating a workplace culture that empowers everyone to be the best versions of themselves. This recognition is not just an end in itself, but a steppingstone on our journey to create an environment that fosters continuous growth, learning, and innovation.
